Description
The Victron Phoenix 12/1200 230V VE.Direct SCHUKO* inverter is a high-efficiency pure sine wave inverter in a single compact housing. The new Phoenix models are easily recognizable by their elongated steel/plastic casing (IP21 protection class). An inverter allows devices requiring 230V or 120V AC power to be powered from a 12V, 24V, or 48V DC battery.
Phoenix 12/1200 230V VE.Direct SCHUKO inverter specifications:
Input voltage: 12V DC | Output voltage: 230V AC
Output power: 1200VA / 1000W | Peak: 2200W
AC inputs: no | AC outputs: 1
Recommended battery capacity: 150 – 700 Ah
Recommended DC fuse: 200A MEGA – See “Order directly with”
Battery connection: Screw terminals
Battery cable (not included): 35mm² – See “Order directly with”
Note! : the diameter (mm²) of the battery cables is based on a maximum length of 5 meters.
*SCHUKO is the most commonly used socket system in the Netherlands for round earthed (CEE 7/7) and non-earthed (CEE 7/17) contour plugs, and the flat non-earthed (CEE 7/16) plug. The socket has two holes for the plug pins and two spring-loaded metal clips on the side for the earth contact. When the plug is inserted, the earth contacts connect first, followed by the two current-carrying pins. The rating is a maximum of 16A.
About the Phoenix inverter 12/1200 230V VE SCHUKO
The Phoenix 12/1200 is a powerful pure sine wave inverter with a capacity of 1200VA (1000W) in a single compact housing. This Phoenix is supplied without the required 35mm² cables.
The Phoenix series of sine wave inverters from Victron Energy is developed for professional use and can be used for a wide range of electrical applications – anytime, anywhere! The inverters convert DC power into AC power. This allows household appliances – from kettles to televisions – to be used at any time in, for example, cars, campers, boats, or garden and beach houses. A noisy generator is no longer necessary.
Every pure sine wave inverter has a high peak power and delivers power for any load without issues. Victron Energy inverters are designed for professional use. They are suitable for a wide range of devices with high and low starting power requirements.
VE.Direct communication port
The Phoenix inverter VE.Direct series features a VE.Direct communication port, allowing the inverter to be connected to a computer with a VE.Direct to USB interface cable, or to Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, MacBooks, and other devices with a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. This makes the inverter fully configurable for the following functionalities:
> Low battery voltage alarm trip and reset levels
> Low battery voltage alarm cut-off and restart levels
> Dynamic cut-off: load-dependent cut-off level
> Output voltage 210 – 245V
> Frequency 50Hz or 60Hz
> ECO mode on/off and ECO mode sense level
> Monitoring: Input and output voltage, % load and alarms
Proven reliability
The full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven its reliability over many years. The inverters are short-circuit proof and protected against overheating, whether caused by overload or high ambient temperature.
High start-up power
Required to start loads such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps, or power tools.
ECO mode
In ECO mode, the inverter switches to standby when the load drops below a preset value (min load: 15W). Once in standby, the inverter switches on for a short period (adjustable, default every 2.5 seconds). If the load exceeds a preset level, the inverter remains on.
Remote on/off
A remote on/off switch can be connected to a two-pole connector or between the battery positive and the left-hand contact of the two-pole connector.
